Learning how to make homemade pasta is essential for many reasons. The first being, it’s much healthier. Instead of the many ingredients, half of which no one can pronounce in most store bought items these days, you are in control of what goes into your pasta. Next, homemade pasta is a breeze to make and gives any dish an artisan appearance.

What you’ll need
1 1/2 cups flour
Makes about 6 servings for a pot of noodle soup, or about 3-4 servings of fresh pasta.
Pour the flour onto a smooth surface, and make a crater for the eggs.
Crack the eggs into the flour crater and begin mixing together with a fork.
If your eggs start to runaway, just drag them back and incorporate them back into the pile.
When the dough becomes too hard to mix with a fork, begin kneading it with your hands until it becomes firm and solid.
Cover your dough in plastic wrap, to prevent it from drying out, and let it rest for at least 10 minutes.
After dusting a smooth surface with flour, roll out your dough until you’ve achieved your desired thickness.
Cut your pasta into even strips of dough. You can use this same dough to make lasagna, ravioli, or bow-tie pasta.
